Former UFC fighter and wife murdered in Laguna Niguel
Ex-Ultimate Fighting Championship and World Extreme Cagefighting participant Justin Levens, 28, and his wife, Sarah McLean-Levens, 25, were found shot to death in their Laguna Niguel condominium Wednesday and law enforcement officials have described preliminarily as a murder-suicide, numerous news agencies are reporting.
The matter remains under investigation by California authorities.
Police haven’t released the motive for the shootings, but preliminary reports have described the scene as a murder-suicide.Levens hasn’t fought in either organization since 2006, and one of his losses that year was to Evan Tanner, who died on a desert trip this year. Levens went on to fight in the defunct International Fight League, and MMA web site Sherdog reports his last fight came earlier this year in Lemoore.
Sadly, Evan Tanner was found dead after embarking on a solo expedition into the desert in September, 2008. Tanner was 37 years old.Justin Levens had 9 wins and 9 losses in his UFC fighting career.
